15th Annual Youth Justice Rally

I Have A Future recently held its 15th annual Youth Justice Rally at the State House Great Hall of Flags in Boston, MA. Over 100 community and faith leaders gathered to advocate for youth jobs, community safety, housing, education, and juvenile justice. The rally featured live interactive art, inspiring testimonies from youth organizers, and engaging activities to emphasize the importance of investing in young people for a brighter future.

The coalition urged the state of Massachusetts to provide $33M for YouthWorks funding, which includes school-to-career opportunities for youth jobs, and to include 18-20 year-olds under the age of juvenile jurisdiction. Additionally, the coalition called for lowering the voting age, re-envisioning the safety protocols of schools, and access to fair housing. The event provided a platform for community members and leaders to come together and demand change.
