Understanding School Discipline: Know Your Rights Workshop

We are hosting a special workshop called “Understanding School Discipline: Know Your Rights" on November 8, 2023, to explore the nuances of school discipline policies and empower students and parents with knowledge about their rights within the educational system.

This workshop aims to create an inclusive space for dialogue, learning, and empowerment whether you are a student, parent, educator, or community member, and during this session, EdLaw Project Lawyers, Elizabeth Levitan and Elizabeth McIntyre will help us understand the various types of school discipline and expose students rights in higher-learning education. Finally, we will also share effective communication strategies, advocacy tips, ways to take action, and how to assert your rights.

We are extending an invitation to agencies, institutions, and organizations that serve people impacted by the criminal legal system and their families. We hope that you can share this with the targeted audience.
